I do say shame on Random House; and also the guy (again) that never imagined it would get caught (again) pushing one product and idea through tough (again). It's smart not to sign up for or beef with a gang, because in such disputes or maybe all-out gang war things get brutal and many wind up dead. A secondary problem could be the war has killed tourism and left many Mexicans in dire straits.
